Hogwarts Legacy is packed to the brim with interesting characters, with many of the best ones being students. Whether you’re a Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin or Gryffindor, you will meet some interesting students along the way. While some kids are like Lucan, and have created an underground duelling club, there are also students like Natty, who’ll bring you on an exciting adventure. I guess the only question is: who’s the best student in your opinion? Today, I will be focusing on the kids in Gryffindor. So why don’t we take a trip to the common room and sort out who’s the best? Here are the top 5 best Gryffindor students in Hogwarts Legacy!

5. Lucan Brattleby
Voice By: Joseph Burdge
Lucan Brattleby is the Gryffindor student that introduces us to Crossed Wands, and teaches us to properly use spell combinations. In spite of being a Gryffindor, and debatably the nicest kid in the game, he’s the one who sets up duels and gives you spell lessons. It’s ironic, isn’t it? But in Hogwarts Legacy, many molds set by Harry Potter get changed, which is a good thing. Thus, we have a character like Lucan, who’s a gentle soul and a kind individual, while also running an underground duelling club. It’s ironic and somehow very fitting, isn’t it?
This young Gryffindor is a welcomed inclusion to Hogwarts Legacy, but sadly he’s forgettable. I’m not saying that he’s a bad character for the short amount of time we spend with him, but I believe he should’ve been a mainstay. If only Lucan would’ve had more quests to give? Surely he could’ve given us something to do? Nevertheless, he’s a Gryffindor student that makes his mark on your character by teaching him/her new things. However, he doesn’t do much aside from be a “nice kid”, and thus he can’t rank any higher. Therefore, Lucan lands on the 5th spot on my list!
4. Garreth Weasley
Voice By: Joseph Burdge
As Draco Malfoy once so eloquently said: “Red hair and a hand-me-down robe. You must be a Weasley.” It’s an iconic quote to describe a Weasley, and Garreth fits the bill, doesn’t he? Not quite, as he has the same robe as everybody else in Gryffindor. But it’s the hair and freckles that make Garreth so easily recognizable, and I find that to be a charming. Well, he’s still an obnoxious Weasley, but he’s charming nonetheless!
Garreth Weasley doesn’t measure up to the legendary Weasley name, but his humorous ways and funny pranks make him a great addition to Hogwarts Legacy. In spite of adding nothing to the main storyline, Garreth is unique because of his actions. There’s not a minute that goes by without Garreth playing a prank on someone or doing something very questionable. Not only that, but he even asks you to steal stuff in Potions Class and ‘Dissending’ for Sweets. Whether you enjoy these types of quests is up to you, but there’s no denying the specific role that our beloved Weasley fills. I guess he’s supposed to be something of a Fred or George Weasley. And honestly, he does it rather well, especially when considering his limited appearance.
๐ฅ Leander Prewett
Voice By: Joshua Shea
Leander Prewett is a bully, who masks his own insecurities by teasing and ridiculing other kids in Hogwarts. Worst of all, he’s the one that stole Zenobia Noke‘s Gobstones, that we had to get back! While the quest itself was fine, it’s not like it made me like Leander Prewett. If anything, I found him to be a jerk, who deep down inside is a cowardly person. That’s something that we saw here and there, when he was pressured. A good example of that would be when he loses to us during Summoner’s Court: Match 1. Oh, how quickly he showed his true colors. He’s just a gentle soul, disguising himself as a tough guy, as all bullies do!
While I went in on Leander’s behavior, it’s exactly the reason he climbed the ranks on my list. I guess you could say that he has some “spunk”, if you will. After all, he’s not a random dull and uninteresting student. He’s actually quite memorable, as far as Gryffindor students go, and his bad behavior is a reason I value him as highly as I do. Sure, he’s not a great character, but the role he has is fitting and well-written into the storyline.
๐ฅ Cressida Blume
Voice By: Georgia Dolenz
If the Sorting Hat placed you in Gryffindor, you will meet Cressida Blume early in the game, as she’s messing around with an odd hat. I’d actually say that the word “odd” describes Cressida really well. She’s constantly caught up in something weird. Whether it’s her odd experiments with Charms or her books and diary pages Flying Off the Shelves, Cressida is the weird child. But I’m not saying that as a negative. After all, Cressida is 2nd on the list. What I mean is that she’s the quirky weird kid, who comes across very authentic and awfully charming. With that said, I really like Cressida Blume and the role she plays in Hogwarts Legacy. Also, her design gets two thumbs up from me!
๐ฅ Natsai Onai
Voice By: Jessica Hayles
Natsai Onai is a polarizing character. So I’m aware that it’s controversial for me to rank her 1st on my list of the top 5 Gryffindor students in Hogwarts Legacy. While I can understand some of the criticism, like the awkward behavior and some poorly animated facial expressions, I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with Natty. Quite the contrary. I think that she’s an excellent character, with a fleshed out backstory, a fitting demeanor and an attractive personality. Best of all, her questline is very fun, often leading to new experiences. If you chose Natsai Onai over Sebastian Sallow, she’ll be the one to introduce you to Hogsmeade. She’s also the person that you ride Hippogriffs together with for the first time. In turn, Natty gives and does the most out of any Gryffindor in Hogwarts Legacy.
What makes Natty stand out to me is her genuine passion for taking down Harlow and doing what’s right, irregardless of what her mother thinks about it. Whether she’s endangering her life to find the truth or making things more dangerous around Hogwarts, Natty is doing what she feels she must in order to protect people. It’s a mindset and mentality that cuts deep, as Natty’s father died protecting her in Matabeleland. With this comes a slew of great dialogue and memorable quests, which make Natty’s character feel so valuable and important. Lastly, let’s not forget that she even protected you from Harlow by saving you in her Gazelle form. If that’s not worthy of some respect, I don’t know what is.
Say what you will. I find Natty to be the best Gryffindor student in Hogwarts Legacy, and it’s not particularly close. With that being said, I crown Natty the queen of Gryffindor students in Hogwarts Legacy!
