Today, I stumbled upon a newly released video game, titled Super Dragon Punch Force 3. It’s a 2.5D fighting game from the South African developer, Talent Digital Art. Believe it or not, this is a game that’s based on the arcade game with the same name featured in Boy Kills World. So it is not a surprise that SDPF3 features colorful characters that caught my attention. After all, I’m here to list the top 5 best-looking character models in Super Dragon Punch Force 3. Honestly, I just can’t help myself. I see something interesting – I need to make a list of it. I hope you enjoy!

5. Jace
When it comes to the base character models in SDPF3, Jace is one of the standouts. While it’s a simplistic design, there’s plenty going on for it to be interesting and eye-catching. It’s a a “less is more” approach, with focus on a balanced design. This draws attention to his facial features and his anime hairstyle, that’s something straight out of Gundam Wing. But his outfit reminds me of Code Geass!
The best parts of Jace’s design come from the few added elements here and there that tie a piece of clothing to another. I’d say that fitting examples of that would be the belt, the straps on the legs that holster weapons, and the big shoulder metallic shoulder guards. While it’s not anything crazy, it adds enough depth to this simplistic design to feel cohesive.
To top it all off, we’ve got a great color scheme that fits with the design, giving the look a very clean feel. While it’s nothing special, it works.
Now, I must say that while this design is pretty good, considering that we’re talking about a fighting game, there could’ve been a better effort in giving Jace something that sticks out. While I like the “less is more” approach, it’s a generic design all in all. I’m not saying that it’s bad, but that sometimes attention to detail can elevate simple designs. If the fabric of clothing would’ve been more detailed or the shine on the metal elements would’ve been brighter, maybe it would’ve given him a better look overall. I’d say it is a good design, but that it could’ve been easily elevated.
4. SK
Every single fighting game has a character with flavor and a cool esthetic, where the personality and design come first, and in-game mechanics come second. In Super Dragon Punch Force 3, that character is without a doubt in mind SK.
From her patchy overalls to her golden details, SK stands out among a small roster of playable characters. It’s not just about the accessories, of course. It’s more about the complete ansemble. I’m talking about the white t-shirt, the matching colors and the different shades of color. There’s enough here to catch my eye and then some. I’d say that it’s enough reason for me to include it on the list, as it’s eyecatching. But best of all, it has a very likable design to it, almost as if to say that you’re gonna beat someone’s breaks off while wearing hand-me-down overalls and a fashionably hippy-styled hat. What’s not to like about that?
SK doesn’t climb higher because, while the design is good, the concept is simple. It’s one of those character models that you want to buy a skin for, as you know that whatever else is in the shop will make SK look better. However, this doesn’t mean that I dislike the default skin. It just means that there’s more they could’ve done with this skin to make it unique to SK, instead of taking a simple, more generic, approach. In turn, I’m placing SK 4th, which I think is a good spot.
🥉 Wally
Wait a minute. Are those Walrus tusks with one of them having a ring on it? And is that a bionic right arm? A two-tone jacket to match? A skull and chain belt? Well, I think that this character model is without a doubt in mind one of the most detailed and well put-together in SDPF 3!
Wally is a buff Walrus-man with an eye-catching arm, and a badass biker look, with studs on the cuffs and shoulders. It’s a straight forward idea, executed well, with a clear design in mind. This means that the character wasn’t haphazardly thrown together, which is a positive, of course! While it’s not a crazy interesting design, when compared to other characters in SDPF3, Wally has easily one of the most intricate designs.
While I think that Wally’s base model is good, I wish they put more effort into the lower body. Just look at how simplistic the pants and boots are compared to the detailed jacked. It’s day and night, isn’t it? Even the beltbuckle has more detail. Therefore, Wally will have to settle for a bronze medal. If only the pants would have more texture and the boots would be fitting, I’d gladly pump him up a notch! However, that’s not the case, so he earns himself the 3rd spot on my list of the top 5 character models of Super Dragon Punch Force 3!
🥈 June27
So you’re June, right? And the 27 stands for the amount of nick-nacks covering your body! No? Well, considering how busy your design is, I’m going to have to say that the developers paid a lot of attention on you. So you must be special. After all, when compared to other characters in SDPF 3, you’ve got the most detail. If that’s not a sign of being their favorite, I don’t know what is!
Where do I start with this design? There’s sooo much going on here, that it’s difficult to find a good place to begin, you know? But I do want to focus heavily on the overall look, where the helmet is the attention-grabber, while the LED pixel details are the focal point of the design. I must say that it’s really well tied together, as if every piece of the puzzle fits perfectly. Ironic, isn’t it? Considering that the pants, jacket and helmet feel like they belong to different types of characters all together! Somehow, in some crazy way, it all works! Why is that? Let me tell you, it’s all about the small nick-nacks that tie one piece of clothing to another!
Picking the best character model in Super Dragon Punch Force 3 wasn’t easy, and June27 was in contention for placing 1st! I can see some of you preferring June27 to Yazya, but I just think that Yazya has a more cohesive design all around.
🥇 Yazya
THIS is IT. Straight forward design that tells us more through visual elements than through a bunch of words. In a fighting game like this, I think it’s a must for a character to be defined. By that I mean that I want to immediately get a feel for who the person is, what they are like, and how they might handle in-game. That’s exactly what we’ve got ourselves with Yazya!
She’s a martial artist, rockin’ tribal print, studs and chains, with a goth/rock styling featuring black lipstick and hoop earrings. What I really think completes the look is her braids and the ponytail combo, as it gives her a look that says she’s ready to throw down. But that’s already made clear enough by her MMA gear, and her badass aura. And if that’s not enough to make her come across interesting, and stunning, I’d say you just have to look at the great structure in her design. I’m referring to how the colors shape and form each piece she’s wearing. It’s subtle, but it’s very effective. It makes her stand out in a crowd, that’s for sure.
While I could sit here and write even more about Yazya, I’ll stop here. Lastly, I will crown Yazya the queen of this list – the top 5 character models in Super Dragon Punch Force 3! I hope that you enjoyed it! 👑
