As with any major anniversary, Sunrise and Bandai are pulling out all the stops. A breathtaking new illustration (see below) that captures the spirit of Gundam Wing, along with flashy, must-have merchandise that’ll have collectors reaching for their wallets before they even know what hit them. But that’s not all—new projects are in the works, promising to surprise and excite longtime fans while introducing a new generation to the brilliance of Gundam Wing.

Gundam Wing at 30 Years Old: A Look Back at Its Timeline and Legacy
Gundam Wing started airing on TV on April 7, 1995. Following a 49-episode run, the show concluded on March 29, 1996.
Just a month after Heero Yuy and his friends finished their story, an original video animation was released in April 25, 1996. Two part were available immediately, with two more OVAs being released on October 25, 1996.
Then came Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, which originally premiered as a three-part OVA in the year 1997. But in the year 1998, it was released as a theatrical compilation, with new scenes and changed music.
Over the years, manga have been released as well. While there are too many to mention, I’d say that Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers is one of the most notable ones, having its run from 2010 to 2017. It’s a re-telling of the original anime story, while including most of the other spin-off manga plots as well. So, if theres one manga to pick up, it’s that one!

This book is packed with exclusive production materials, including storyboards from the first episode and Endless Waltz, original drawings by character designer Shukou Murase, and animation director corrections.
