Michael Sarnoski will be making his feature film directorial debut with Pig, and it’s looking like a very special film. I mean, it’s John Wick with a truffle hog, starring Nicolas Cage. And while that may seem like an insult, I’m genuinely intrigued and interested by this film. If the Pig trailer is of any indication, it’s definitely a Nicolas Cage film, and I love it! With a great amount of focus on Cage’s acting, with a gloomy story, I’m certain that it will be a movie worth watching. It might not be for everybody, and the John Wick comparisons are inevitable, but Pig has its own charm. It’s definitely worth checking out, so I suggest you watch Sarnoski’s Pig trailer, and see what you think!
“Who has my pig?” – Rob
Plot: Rob, a truffle hunter, lives secluded and alone in the Oregonian wilderness, finding peace and solitude together with his trusted truffle hog. Day in, day out, he spends his days with the pig, searching for truffles, until one fateful night. He’s ambushed, attacked, with his beloved pig kidnapped, only to find out that his past has caught up to him. Who was he before he became a truffle hunter? Does it matter? The only thing Rob wants is to find his pig, and now he must face his mysterious past, as the culprit might be someone he once knew.
Pig is directed by Michael Sarnoski, who co-wrote the screenplay together with Vanessa Block. It stars Nicolas Cage, Alex Wolff, and Nina Belforte. Pig is slated to premiere on July 16, 2021!
