Atsuko Ishizuka‘s Goodbye, DonGlees! is a Madhouse original, set in Iceland, telling the story of the “DonGlees boys”. It’s an adventure anime movie, with fantasy elements, focusing on 3 boys who find themselves learning about life and survival, all in one! While it’s largely a comedy, it’s also a drama, with some obvious slice of life pieces mixed into the mix. But that’s exactly what I expect from Atsuko Ishizuka, who’s known for her genre grey-area storytelling. Nevertheless, I’m more interested in know what you think!
