My Master Has No Tail (Uchi no Shishou wa Shippo ga Nai) got a new visual! Not only that, but the two lead characters finally have voice actors, and they are heavyweights in the voice acting industry. I’m talking about M.A.O. (Mao Ichimichi) and Hibiku Yamamura. So scroll down, and I’ll do my best to fill you in on these two stars!
Mao Ichimichi will voice the happy-go-lucky Mameda, and Hibiku Yamamura will voice the cool and calm Bunko Daikokutei.
Who Are Mao Ichimichi & Hibiku Yamamura?
Mao Ichimichi is most well-known as Iris in Fire Force and Shion in That Time I Got Reicnarnated as a Slime. In addition, she’s also the voice of Hikari Yagami (Digimon) and Vorona (Durarara!!x2 Shou). She’s even lined up for The Executioner and Her Way of Life! For Mao Ichimichi’s full list of voice acting jobs, check out MyAnimeList!
But above and beyond her roles, she’s known for a very distinct voice, which is easy to recognize. While it’s hard to explain, you could say that she has a signature style, and many are excited to see her future work. But why? Because it seems like she’s actually heating up, with many great projects coming in 2022.
Hibiku Yamamura is recognized for voicing Noriko Sonozaki in Kiznaiver and Ashuramaru in Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign. If you’re a Keijo! fan, you probably know her as Mio Kusakai. Here’s the full list of her gigs on MyAnimeList!
When it comes to Hibiku Yamamura, she’s been voice acting since 2009, but doesn’t have a large catalogue of roles. She’s a talented voice actress, often seen voicing similar characters, so her distinct nature can get lost in the mix. And by that I mean that her job as a voice actor becomes more difficult, as she doesn’t have to change her voice a lot to fit a simple character. You could say that she’s great with different types of roles, but those anime where she does something interesting as a Seiyuu have bombed. Thus, her talents are focused on one-type of characters. Not that it’s a bad thing, but that’s how I perceive it. However, Hibiku is a solid voice actress, and I hope she gets to showcase her talents even more in this anime!
