Mamoru Hosoda’s work is recognized around the world, and that’s not surprising, as he’s got a long list of accomplishments. Simply put, he’s won numerous awards at various film festivals, and even received an Oscar nomination in 2019 for Mirai. In turn, his influence and legend in the industry has grown over the years, as his catalogue speaks for itself. He’s behind Digimon: The Movie, Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Mirai, and his recent masterpiece, Belle. It’s honestly heartwarming to see a director this dedicated to his craft. I mean, people genuinelly look forward to his films, and they’re never disappointed. Now, after Belle’s debut at the Cannes 2021 Film Festival, it’s been confirmed that Belle will be released in the UK. While no dates have been specified, it’s a done deal, as Belle will be getting a cinematic release in the UK and Ireland.

Mamoru Hosoda’s Belle debuted at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival on July 15, 2021. It was then released 1 day later in Japan on July 16. Belle is currently set to be released in North America late 2021, and slated for a cinematic release in the UK and Ireland early 2022. The dates are currently unknown.
