Sunrise revealed that a compilation TV special is in the works for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. This 9-part special aims to combine the 2015 show and the mobile app titled Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans G app. While little is known about the project, the 9-part special does have a release window, set to premiere in spring, 2022.
Considering my love for Gundam, I’m absolutely shocked by the amount of new shows/films we are getting in 2022! While it’s too early to celebrate, it’s an exciting time to be a Gundam fan! I mean, we’re getting this 9-part TV special, and a new movie, Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island. In addition, Sunrise announced Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, which is an anime I quickly wrote an entire piece about (read it here). Simply put, it’s a big deal, and we’re gonna have a great 2022, aren’t we!
The 9-Part Compilation Special Premieres In Spring, 2022.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada. The TV anime premiered in 2015, with a total of 50 episodes. But the show had a short summer break, so it’s in-fact a 2 season anime, with both being 25 episodes long.
