At DigiFes 2021, it was revealed that a few new Digimon projects are currently in the works. In turn, there’s good reason to be excited, as a Digimon TV anime and Digimon Adventure 02 film have been announced! Thus, it’s time to welcome a group of new kids and Digimon, while also greeting our old friends from 02. I’m talking about good ol’ Davis, Yolei, Cody and Ken! Below, you’ll find everything released about the new Digimon anime projects!
First Digimon Ghost Game Poster Released!

The new Digimon TV anime is officially titled Digimon Ghost Game, and it will be released on several channels, as well as Fuji TV. While little is known about the anime, the first poster has arrived, showcasing the htree main characters and their Digimon. In an image below, you’ll get a pretty good look of these new-era Digimon, and they look interesting. They are named as follows, from left to right: Angoramon, Gammamon, and Jellymon.
Toei Animation’s Digimon Ghost Game is slated to premiere later this year, in autumn, 2021. In turn, we don’t have to wait long for the next adventure!

While very little is known about the film, it’ll focus on the characters from Digimon Adventure 02. Thus, we’ll once again follow Davis, Yolei, Cody and Ken on their journey. Or so I hope, as characters have not been confirmed. In turn, things could change, so let’s not get our hopes up before everything is finalized. However, it’s pretty much a done deal, so we shouldn’t worry!
As someone who grew up watching Digimon, my excitement cannot be described with words, as it means too much to me. While it might not live up to my high expectations, I’m just loving the idea of bringing back the characters from Digimon Adventure 02. Now, it’s just a matter of time before we get a proper trailer for the film!
Digimon Adventure 02 is directed by Tomohisa Taguchi and written by Akatsuki Yamatoya. For more about Digimon Adventure 02 film, please visit the official website!
